岗位职责:
一、To provide commitment, organization, coordination, assistance, training and change management at 360 degrees in developing and enhancing the Internal Control and Risk Management System, the risk processes, the risk management organization and the risk operating model.
1、Suggesting and adapting the risk governance model.
2、Ensuring completeness, functionality and efficacy of the tools, systems and practices undertaken to identify, measure and manage risks.
3、Escalating relevant matters and breaches to designated Risk Management units by shareholders (if any) and relevant governing bodies.
4、Guaranteeing alignment of organizational requirements and the appropriateness of sizing and capabilities of the function in relation to the size and complexity of the company.
5、Documenting and validating process interfaces with other stakeholders.
6、Ensuring that Directors, Top Management and employees receive proper guidance and preparation on the risk management features and responsibilities thereof of the internal control and risk management system.
7、Improving awareness on risk management at all levels of the organization amongst others by means of learning and development initiatives.
二、To focus on the assessment, improvement and oversight of the risk appetite framework and of the management of risks, capital and risk-adjusted criteria embedded into decision-making processes in order to maximize value within the requirements as defined by the local regulator and shareholder.
1、Maintaining the Internal Control and Risk Management System, including but not limited to policies, guidelines, risk appetite framework, preferences, system of tolerances and limits, and its periodic update with the other control functions.
2、Keeping abreast of changes to the regulatory and/or shareholder requirements via different means, including training with the stakeholder.
3、Suggesting and adapting specific risk limits to make sure that business is run within the risk appetite.
4、Supervising the definition and implementation of risk policies and related guidelines.
5、Participating and bringing the risk view into the business processes, in accordance to the guidelines.
三、To support, facilitate and coordinate the efforts towards the development of models, methodologies, data, processes, controls and platform required for the calculation, assessment, optimization and reporting based on the results of:
o the Local Economic and/or Risk Based Capital Regime;
o the (Solvency 2) Internal Model,
o the (Solvency 2) Standard Formula approach, and
o the Economic Balance Sheet amongst other.
1、In relation to stakeholder standards, developing a quantitative / qualitative framework and models for addressing, supervising and controlling the following risks:
o Insurance risks (Life and/or Non Life);
o Financial Risks;
o Credit risks;
o Operational risks.
2、Guaranteeing that other processes (e.g. embedded value calculation) satisfy the criteria required to perform the risk capital calculation by demanding that methodologies, calibrations, distributions, scenarios and execution are adequate.
3、Ensuring that the data used by the firm to assess its risks are fit for purpose in terms of quality, quantity and breadth.
四、To strengthen oversight and overall risk assessments at company and business unit level by running and/or supporting risk assessments within the scope of the department.
1、Monitoring the development of the internal control and risk management system of the company and expressing his/her assessment on its completeness and effectiveness.
2、Monitoring and guaranteeing that the risks in line with risk guidelines, strategy and limits.
3、In relation to stakeholder standards, supporting the development of qualitative frameworks and models for addressing, supervising and controlling the following risks:
o Contagion Risk;
o Emerging Risk;
o Liquidity Risk;
o Operational Risk;
o Reputational Risk;
o Strategic Risk.
4、Monitoring that the company’s assessments are carried out and validating their results to be reported to the relevant bodies / authorities.
5、Executing the assessments under the responsibility Risk Management, amongst which but not limited to:
o Risk Profile of the company;
o Top Down Operational risk;
o The ORSA process;
o Main Risk Self-assessment.
6、Validating the assessments (and the related report) produced by other functions, amongst which, but not limited to:
o Strategic ALM
o Strategic Asset Allocation;
o Counterparty credit exposures;
o Reinsurance strategy;
o New Product & Segment development;
o Accumulations;
o Liquidity position and buffer.
7、Designing, optimizing and reviewing in a regular and periodic manner the systems of indicators and alerts of the company so that they suitable describe the current and forward-looking risk profile.
8、Helping in the design and execution of stress tests.
9、Proposing remedial actions and, if needed, interventions.
五、To maintain relevant bodies and stakeholders informed of the state of the art of the internal control and risk management system of the company from the risk management perspective.
1、Proposing, improving and monitoring the development, amongst others, but not limited to:
o Risk factors;
o Key Risk Indicators;
o Risk metrics;
o Risk Tolerances;
o Warning Signals;
o Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process embedment;
o ORSA / ERM reporting;
o Forward Looking Assessment of Own Risks;
o Control Reporting.
2、Producing reports as per the requirements to designated Risk Management units by shareholders (if any) and relevant local governing bodies and authorities, but not limited to:
o List out as required by management, shareholders, regulator
六、To ensure that the risk management perspective is upheld at corporate bodies.
1、Participating and being vocal in the following bodies:
o Board Audit Committee (invitee)
o Board Risk Management Committee (Coordination)
o Operating Investment Committee (member)
o Product Committee (member)
o IT Committee (member)
o Risk Management Committee (Coordination)
o Compliance Management Committee (member)
任职资格:
Education:
- University; Graduate or post-graduate level with concentration in quantitative discipline (Actuarial, Risk Management, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics);
- Desirable qualifications: PRM, FRM, FSA, CERA, CQF…
Experience:
- 12+ years working experience, at least 8 in insurance, 5 in senior management positions
- Familiarity with the risk management space of the insurance industry or financial service companies.
- Proven leadership track by occupying similar positions where the risk management perspective is added to business goals and objectives.
- Managerial understanding of risk dynamics and link with profitability, familiar with relevant laws and regulations.
